Designed for 6-7 years old Cub Scouts (Bear/Wolf) - completed in a family setting
Designed for 8-10 years old Cub Scouts. (Webelos/Arrow of Light) - completed in a family setting
Designed for any youth of the Roman Catholic Faith who is registered in a BSA Troop or Crew. To be completed before 18th birthday. Completed in a classroom setting with a Counselor. A Board of Review must be completed for the award.
Designed for Venturing Crew Members and Boy Scouts 15 years old and older. To be completed before 21st birthday. Completed in a classroom setting with a Counselor. A Board of Review must be completed for the award.
For Girl Scout, Campfire, and American Heritage

Designed for 5-6 years old Daisy Scouts (grade K & 1)- completed in a family setting
Family of God
Designed for 7-8 years old Brownie Scouts. (grades 2&3) - completed in a family setting
I Live My Faith
Designed for 9-11 years old Junior/1st year Cadette Scouts. (grades 4-6) - completed in a family setting
Mary, the First Disciple
Designed for 12-14 year old 2nd/3rd year Cadette Scouts (grades 7&8) Completed in a classroom setting with a Counselor. A Board of Review must be completed for the award.
Spirit Alive
Designed for 14-18 year old Senior/Ambassador Scouts (grades 9-12) Completed in a classroom setting with a Counselor. A Board of Review must be completed for the award.
Missio
Designed for 16-18 year old Ambassador Scouts (grades 11&12) Completed in a classroom setting with a Counselor. A Board of Review must be completed for the award.

The 4 Pillars
Overview
The purpose of the Pillars of Faith program is to provide a special recognition to those youth in Scouting who have earned all four of the Catholic Religious Emblems. Very few Scouts earn the highest rank (Eagle, Gold Award, Stars & Stripes Award), and even fewer earn a Religious Emblem of their faith. Earning all four Religious Emblems is a monumental feat and demonstrates tremendous commitment to their Catholic Faith. The Pillars of Faith Program- Duty to God Pin recognizes these Scouts.
The name and design of the award represent the fact that the four Religious Emblems, one for each program are like pillars, supporting the Scouts' development in and appreciation of their religious faith. The Religious Emblems are the pillars, not the roof, for none of us are ever done growing in our faith. The design also includes the Church, the Bible, the Cross, other essential elements in faith. The pin can be worn on the scout uniform or as a lapel pin on nonscouting attire.
