BU Mars Rover 

This aluminum rod was machined using a manual lathe and then tapped using a normal tap/die set to be fitted to a 1/4 20 screw size

The bogie joint is in the middle of the picture and gives the chassis' stability when moving on rough terrain. 

The delrin is the exterior of the chassis and was band-sawed to length
