Hello! My name is Graycee Enger. My husband and I have been married for a year, and we have loved every second of it! We enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and doing couple modeling. I believe in dedication and hard work, and I have seen firsthand how motivation impacts the work I do. I will graduate in Spring 2026 with an associate degree.
I grew up in Herriman, Utah, and I have four siblings. I’m a twin, though my brother and I were born two hours apart. Growing up in a large, tight-knit family taught me the importance of compromise and teamwork, skills I know will be valuable as a future interpreter. Working with a variety of clients and interpreters will put those skills to the test, and I’m excited for the challenge.
My passion for ASL started with my younger cousin, who has autism and was non-verbal for much of my childhood. I wanted to communicate with him at family gatherings so he would always have someone to connect with, so I began learning ASL. A friend started teaching me during our free time, and I later took ASL for all three years of high school, which helped me grow my skills.
After high school, I attended BYU for one semester and took an ASL class with JV Featherstone. I asked him when BYU might open an ASL interpreting program, and he told me it would never happen. When I asked where I should go if I was truly committed to becoming the best interpreter I could be, he recommended Salt Lake Community College. I’m grateful for that advice and for making the decision to transfer to SLCC, where I’ve been able to step out of my comfort zone and learn to embrace the uncomfortable.
