Use any of our five sundrop templates, or draw your own!

Upload the final version of your sundrop here!

Remember, there are several ways you can participate in the Gratitude Showers Challenge! If you don't have the time or the technology to make your own sundrop, you can tweet your words of gratitude for health care workers @GratefulShowers and we'll turn them into a sundrop for you. Short and sweet works best! If we can't quite fit your tweet on a sundrop, we may tweak it to make it fit. You can also contribute by donating to the University Hospital Elyria Medical Center's Community Action Fund....let us know, and we'll make a sundrop for the healthcare workers in honor of your donation!

Make your Own Sundrop Step-by-Step Instructions

You can use a piece of regular printer paper (8.5 x 11) or a tablet to draw the shape of a raindrop. Or, you can print out or download one of the templates above to get started. Be sure to use a thick black line for the outline of the raindrop, as shown in the videos and in the templates themselves! This raindrop outline is the start of your very own sundrop!

After you have your sundrop outline, write a message of thanks to hospital workers! Be creative -- you can draw simple pictures, too! Large bubble words and images will turn out best.

When you are done with your image, you need to make a digital version. You can do this with a scanner or a phone scanner app. These work a bit better than a camera, because shadows can interfere with the quality of your image. If you need to, go ahead and take a picture -- we'll do our best to clean it up for you!

Tips:

  • If you want to use more than one color in your raindrop, that is fine! Dark colors that contrast with the white background will work best. Please note that the final vinyl sticker will all be one color.

  • Feel free to send more than one sundrop! There are lots of folks helping out on the frontlines in the hospitals...nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, physicians assistants, janitors, dining service workers, maintenance workers, and more! Everyone working on the frontlines deserves our gratitude!

  • If you don't have a scanner, consider sending a couple of photos of the same sundrop so that we can get the best possible image to work with!

  • If you want to honor a specific person in your sundrop, please use first names only!
