Gratitude Shower Animation Draft #2.mov

The coronavirus has changed a lot of things about our daily lives. Lots of people are working from home right now to stay safe. Many kids are too! Some essential workers are still going to work, taking care of us all. While a lot of people are sick or scared because of the coronavirus, even in the scariest of times there are rays of sunshine. As you read this message, healthcare workers around the globe are working hard to keep us safe. Let's show them how much we care by showering them with our gratitude! Please share a word or a drawing to join the Gratitude Showers Challenge! When it is safe to do so, we'll compile your words and images into a Gratitude Showers exhibit that will be displayed at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. In the meantime, we'll share your words and images of gratitude via social media, so that health care workers can see them right away!

Every drop of gratitude will make a difference! But for those who are able, if you can, please consider donating to the UH Community Response Fund for the UH Elyria Medical Center to support some of the local health care workers who are keeping us safe!

Want to participate? Here are some ways you can join the challenge:

  • Tweet @GratefulShowers a few words of gratitude for health care workers. Keep it short and sweet--just a few words is perfect--so that the Gratitude Showers team can draw it and then cut it out on a custom raindrop to add it to the installation!

  • Better yet, draw your own sundrop! Use the instructions here. We'll cut it out, share it via social media, and add it to the exhibit!

  • And if you can, please consider donating to the UH Elyria Medical Center's COVID-19 Community Response Fund! Funds go directly to those in need!
