Driving (Getting a ride or taking a cab)
In addition to using Google for directions, it is best to end up on Bedford Avenue and use that gate to enter campus since it is right next to Ingersoll. If you stand at the gate looking at the clock tower, Ingersoll is the building to the right and Boylan (shown on map) is to the left. Ask the guard if not sure.
Driving (Parking a car):
In addition to using Google for directions please make sure you end up on Ocean Avenue and turn left on H-street to enter the parking lot. This is the only entrance to the parking lot. The other side is the exit. It is one way throughout the parking lot.
If parking a car please let me know since I have to inform the guard who is always there (Saturdays too). I will need your name, car type (example blue Toyota) and license plate.
Best not to park right by the guard, drive inside the parking lot until you are under the buildings. Once you park your car you will have to find your way up since the garage is like a basement garage. If you enter by the door of the Public Safety Office (where the campus police car is usually parked) you will be in Ingersoll basement. Just come upstairs to the first level and room 1141.
See the pictures of the garage below and best entrance to use.
Public Transportation:
For travel to Brooklyn College (GTDay 75) on weekend there is no #2 train from Manhattan. There are two options:
1) Use the 5 Train: Take the 5 train to the Flatbush Avenue / Brooklyn College station. Walk one block west on Hillel Place to the Hillel Gate entrance of Brooklyn College.
OR
2) Use the Q Train: Take the Q train to the Avenue H station, at Avenue H and East 16th Street. Walk four blocks east on Avenue H to the Campus Road entrance of Brooklyn College.
You can use any of these doors to enter Ingersol. You will be in the basement of Ingersol.
Best entrance from the garage which puts you on the first floor of Ingersol. This entrance is opposite the parked ambulance (which you can see in the previous picture).
