Granite Ridge Family Council Purpose
The Granite Ridge Family Council’s mission is to improve the quality of life for all residents by promoting an atmosphere of compassionate care and support among staff, friends, and family. A Family Council is an organized, self-led, self-determining, democratic group composed of the family members and friends of a long-term care home, who gather together for peer support, education, and to improve the experiences of all people in long-term care. While the goals of each Council may differ,
they all seek to create a safe, vibrant, and supportive home for residents, families, and team members.
The Heat is On - Enjoy Summer Safely!
The Family Council is continuing to work through the summer. Help us by sending us an email on any suggestions, topics or concerns you may have that you want to let us know about. We will be also asking for input for 2026/2027 at an August free refreshments for all Drop-By Event.
Details to be announced in this space next month and on the Family Council Notice Board in the hall.

we'd like to hear from you!
Long-Term Care Homes are required, per the Act, to encourage family and friends of residents to participate in a Family Council.
We also do it because we know you are affected by both the positive outcomes and the challenges that your loved ones experience.

The Granite Ridge Family Council meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm (exceptions possible) (in-person drop-ins if possible July/August)
A Google meet meeting invitation will be sent to families and friends interested in attending.
