The Grand Mesa Water Conservancy District is operated by a seven member board, each serving a 4 year term. When there is a vacancy, an announcement is published in the local newspaper and interested persons apply to, and are appointed by, the District Court in Delta, Colorado. Applicants must be land owners in the GMWCD. Current board members are:
