Parts of Speech

OK, so yes, you need to know the parts of speech. I'm sorry, but there's no way around it. If you were making a dessert, you would need to know what you were putting into it, right? If you were an architect, you would need to be familiar with all the building materials you might use before you started creating a plan for using them, correct? Consequently, get over it! You need to know the parts of speech, so you can put them together in a grammatically correct fashion.  The eight parts of speech are listed below. Chances are you're already pretty familiar with them.  Just get re-acquainted.  Hang out for a little while, drink a Coke and mingle with them. Soon you'll realize that they're not so scary after all.  You may even grow to like them!
