Graduation Projects: Steps
Step 1: Find a volunteer site
Click HERE for a list of PRE-APPROVED volunteer sites
Find your own volunteer site/sites and get them approved by Mrs. Dewees
Click HERE for an approval form or fill out the Google Form
Step 2: Volunteer!
Make sure to bring your SERVICE LOG to document your service, get it signed, and provide contact information!
THIS IS REQUIRED AND MUST BE TURNED IN WHEN YOU PRESENT!
Step 3: Keep A Journal
Create a Google doc where you can document your service trips and volunteer hours INFORMALLY HERE
This document is very helpful for keeping track of your hours and duties and will be very useful when you create your presentation later on!
Step 4: Create your presentation
You may begin working on this before your 40 hours is finished, but make sure you’ve done enough to be reflective and thorough.
Presentation can be created in google slides, powerpoint, prezi, or any other presentation format.
It must include all of the information shown in THIS sample presentation, but make it your own!
Step 5: PRESENT!
You must give a 5-10 minute oral presentation (with the above presentation visual) about your service experience to a designated panel of judges in the fall of your senior year.
Some students may be given an opportunity to present in the spring of their junior year.
You need to achieve a minimum of 70% on your oral presentation to pass
