This course was designed to give an overview of major pedagogical domains related to teaching technical and technology education. Major areas related to teaching were addressed within the course, which included: historical foundations as related to technical education; technology education; structural development of both public secondary and post-secondary education; educational philosophies; teaching methodology and curriculum development; and different taxonomies of knowledge, learning domains, and lesson plan development. Students learned how to develop educational goals and objectives as well as research strategies and assessment models used in the evaluation of different curricula components. The course concluded with a study of issues related to teaching technical and technology education.
