GRADISCO 2027 is the second edition of the summer school in combinatorics for advanced master students, PhD students, and early-career researchers (following the first edition in 2024). The goal of the school is to introduce early-career scientists to

• core research topics on combinatorial structures in geometry and topology;

• core research topics on combinatorial structures in algebra, enumeration and probability;

• essential tools for conducting research in the above combinatorial topics, like the free open-source software SageMath.

Alongside the courses, participants will be able to interact with leading experts, exchange research ideas, and build connections in the distinctive setting of Volterra.

The activities will begin on Monday, September 13, in the morning and end on Friday, September 17, by lunchtime. Participants are expected to arrive on Sunday, September 12, and leave on Friday, September 17. The local expenses, including accommodation and all the meals except the social dinner, amount to ~600 euros.

To participate, please fill out the application form below. Financial support is available strictly for local expenses (accommodation and meals); we cannot cover travel costs. As places and funding are limited, we strongly encourage participants with their own sources of funding not to apply for financial aid.

Registration is now open.

Deadline: August 15th 2027.
