GradePilot – Grade Calculator (“GradePilot”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the GradePilot mobile application (“the App”).

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 No Account Required

GradePilot does not require user accounts.

We do not collect:

• Names

• Email addresses (unless you contact us)

• Personal profile information

1.2 Academic Data Stored on Your Device

All academic data you enter — including modules, grades, assessments, flashcards, projections, and risk settings — is stored locally on your device.

We do not:

• Transmit this data to our servers

• Store your grades externally

• Access your academic information

If you export a PDF report, the file is generated locally on your device.

1.3 Notifications

If you enable notifications, GradePilot may send you optional alerts to help you stay on track.

These may include, but are not limited to:

• Due date reminders

• Study check-ins

• Borderline or at-risk alerts

• Notifications when required grades become unusually high

These notifications are generated based on your data stored locally on your device.

We do not use notifications for advertising or third-party marketing.

1.4 Analytics and Diagnostics

GradePilot uses Google Firebase services, including:

• Firebase Analytics

• Firebase Crashlytics

These services help improve app performance, reliability, and user experience.

Firebase may automatically collect:

• Anonymous usage data (e.g. screen views, feature interactions, paywall interactions)

• App performance metrics

• Crash reports

• Device model and operating system version

• App version

• Anonymous device identifiers

• Approximate location (country level, derived from IP address)

This approximate regional information may also be used to adapt academic terminology and grading language within the App (for example, GPA, semesters, modules, or assignments).

This data:

• Is not linked to your name, email address, or academic data

• Is not used for advertising

• Is not sold to third parties

• Is not used for cross-app tracking

All data is collected in an aggregated, non-identifiable form and used solely to:

• Improve app features

• Understand how users interact with the app

• Optimise performance and stability

Firebase processes this data as a service provider.

1.5 In-App Purchases

GradePilot offers optional in-app purchases, including:

• Subscriptions (monthly and yearly GradePilot Pro)

• One-time purchases (such as unlocking additional flashcard decks)

All purchases are processed securely by Apple through the App Store.

We do not receive or store:

• Credit card details

• Billing addresses

• Payment information

We only receive confirmation from Apple that a purchase or subscription is active.

1.6 Support & Contact

If you contact us (e.g. for support or feedback), we may receive:

• Your email address

• The information you include in your message

• Optional device or app version details

We use this information only to:

• Respond to your enquiry

• Improve the App

We do not sell or share this information with third parties.

2. Subscription Management

Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple.

You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time via:

Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions

3. Data Security

Because your academic data remains on your device:

• We do not store academic data in external databases

• We do not transmit your grades to external servers

Analytics and diagnostic data are handled securely by Google Firebase.

4. Children’s Privacy

GradePilot is designed for students but does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

As the App does not require accounts or collect personal identity information, no personal profile data is stored by us.

5. Your Rights (UK & EU Users)

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have rights, including:

• Access to personal data

• Correction of inaccurate data

• Deletion of data

• Restriction of processing

Because GradePilot does not store academic data externally, most user data remains under your control on your device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date above.
