Since 2015 Fall through 2017 Spring, the Biowaste & Bioenergy literature reading club group met bi-weekly to discuss 2-3 papers that focus on a similar topic. If there was any review paper selected, the number of review paper would be limited in one.
As a leader of the Biowaste & Bioenergy literature reading club, I was in charge of distributing meeting information and coordinating meetings for a group of about 10 graduate students and visiting scholars.
It was expected that all the participants would read the assigned paper before every meeting. Summary, hypothesis/rationale/significance, structure, and major findings would be reported for every selected article. Also, it was highly encouraged to come up with one idea to further improve that paper (Or any other directions that you would recommend).
