This year our church desires to read through the Bible in one year as many people do every year. Although many strive, this is a hard yet refreshing endeavor. This 5-day Bible reading plan is one which will help you make progress. I printed out some copies and gave them out at New Years and small group.

More specifically in terms of Scripture itself, you can find the reasons under the first section of core values.
Step 1: Download the 5-day Bible reading plan, print it, and place it in the front of your Bible.
Step 2: Plan a time and a place where you will read daily.
Step 3: Daily pray for God to help you understand Scripture. One helpful tool I use is the IOUS prayer by John Piper.
Step 4: Watch once the Read Scripture series of the specific book(s) you are reading. This helps to give an overview of the book before you start (click here for OT, and here for NT). I will post the video of the books that will follow the plan on this page (below).
Step 5: Start reading! There are readings for only 5 days which gives a couple days to catch up, or the weekends to read something on your own, or to go back and study more in depth the weekly reading.
Blessings to all in this endeavor. There is truly nothing greater or better you can do for your relationship with God than to be in Word and prayer.
