CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
We invite graduate students (both MA and PhD) and early career scholars (within five years of obtaining the PhD) to submit abstracts for this workshop. We welcome submissions engaging with any aspect of Platonism in metaphysics and philosophy of mathematics broadly construed—historical, systematic, comparative, or critical. Topics may include (but are not limited to):
The nature of forms, universals, and abstract entities
The relationship between metaphysical realism and Platonism
Anti-Platonist or nominalist critiques
Platonism’s implications for ontology, logic, or the philosophy of mathematics
The ontological status of mathematical objects in the Platonist tradition
Not-being, absence and nothingness
Each accepted paper will be assigned a commentator.
Submission Guidelines
Abstract length: maximum 400 words (excluding bibliography).
Format: anonymized PDF, suitable for blind review.
Language: English (preferred) or Italian
Deadline: 10 January 2026 (noon, CET).
Notification of acceptance: by 31 January 2026.
