The main aim of introduction is to give your readers idea on what the research paper is about and whether it is worth reading or not.
However, writing introduction is also important for YOU as it will:
ensure that you summarize prior studies about the topic in a manner that lays a foundation for understanding the research problem;
explain how your study specifically addresses gaps in the literature, insufficient consideration of the topic, or other deficiency in the literature;
note the broader contributions and implications of your research.
Make sure that your introduction has all of these parts.
A hook is an opening statement (which is usually the first sentence) in an essay that attempts to grab the reader's attention so that they want to read on.
Make sure that you start your introduction with a hook!
You can use this example when writing your own introduction.
You can use your Research Paper Proposal;
Don't forget to cite sources (especially, in summary part of your introduction);
We advise you to consider and mention at least 2 sides of debate on your topic;
Avoid personal pronouns even when talking about your decision to choose the topic;
Look through the SAT rubrics before writing the introduction.
