I am a Senior Advisor at the Monetary Policy Directorate of the Bank of England. Specifically, I am part of the Monetary Policy Innovation Lab, a team working closely with the Chief Economist with the aim of applying insights from the research frontier to problems faced by monetary policymakers.

Previously, I worked as an Economist at the Forecasting Center of the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. I hold a PhD from Kiel University.
My research interests are

Applied time series econometrics, machine learning and forecasting
Business cycles and inflation dynamics
NEW in research: working paper "Blockwise Boosted Inflation: non-linear determinants of inflation using machine learning" and book chapter on "Infusing machine learning with economically motivated structure".
Here is my CV.
Outside work, I spend much of my time with forró, a Brazilian dance and music genre.
