As someone who used to take the GO out of Markham around 6:20ish, it was nice to have a little chat with him, to get updates, and even just to hear how lovely he is with the other passengers so early in the day. He really made my mornings that much better, especially when I was dealing with work anxieties or home stressors. I no longer take the GO for work but if I did and Mohamed wasn’t there anymore, his absence would be felt and he would leave impossible to fill shoes. I hope Mohamed understands just how great of an impact he makes and I hope Metrolinx/GO Transit/ONXpress understand that too. I used to work on a GO Transit project, and knowing people like Mohamed existed made me that much prouder to be involved with a project like that.
