The Government Job Shadowing Program for STL African/Asian American Youth is a program for high school students to job shadow leaders of our regional government entities to help establish connections and gain a deeper understanding of different opportunities within government.
This program was created to establish a platform for minority youth from African and Asian American communities to engage with local government agencies with the purpose of promoting career interest and preparedness.
8-10 qualified STL high school students from each community will be selected by a committee appointed by the STL African/Asian American Community Alliance. Students must complete an online application and provide a recommendation letter from a teacher, coach, mentor, or other adult individual not in their family who can speak to their character.
This program will take place during the academic year of 2021/2022. Applications are due August 13, 2021. Please refer to the Program Schedule tab for more information on key program dates.
