3. Do I need to attend in person? Where is PACE University located? What makes it notable?
All Monday evening classes are fully remote via Zoom—there’s no need to travel to campus.
PACE University is located in Manhattan, New York, and is recognized as one of the top colleges in the U.S. for 2025. A degree from PACE carries weight and prestige when applying for jobs.
4. I want to work in Special Education as soon as possible. Do I need to wait until I graduate?
No need to wait.
Once you’ve completed 24 credits (half the program), you may be eligible for an Internship Certificate, provided you have a job offer or a “letter of hire.” This certificate allows you to start working in Special Education while finishing your degree.
5. What career options will I have after graduation?
Graduates of the PACE Childhood and Special Education (Birth–2nd Grade) program are eligible for two New York State certifications:
Childhood Education (Birth–2nd Grade)
Special Education (Birth–2nd Grade)
You’ll be ready to work immediately in a variety of early childhood and special education settings—no additional courses needed.
6. What if I want certification for both Birth–2nd and Grades 1–6?
Great news: after graduating from the Birth–2nd Grade program, you only need to complete 2–3 additional courses to earn certification for Grades 1–6 as well.
This means you can become certified for Birth through Grade 6—a major career advantage!
7. I’m ready to join PACE through T.E.A.M. What are my next steps?
You can begin in January, or September.

Once registered, you’ll be designated as part of the T.E.A.M. cohort. PACE University will then process your application and make the final admissions decision after receiving all required transcripts and personal documentation.
