Dr. Sayanti Samaddar
My wife, Dr. Sayanti Samaddar, an experimental condensed matter physicist, is presently working as a Higher Research Scientist at NPL UK. Prior to this, she was a postdoctoral researcher in Physics at RWTH Aachen University. She has an excellent academic record, and has been a recipient of the prestigious Marie Curie and Humboldt fellowships, for her doctoral and postdoctoral research, respectively.

Making music: Gorky and Rusho
We are a band of two brothers: Gorky and Rusho. Our gear: our acoustic guitars and our PCs. The music is totally home-made: arrangement, recording, mixing - all done on our PCs. We are always experimenting with different sounds to create a sound of our own. We are still learning the ropes. Our music varies from acoustic, melodic stuff to heavier sounds that we are striving to perfect as we go along.

I read a lot (a little less nowadays), primarily fiction. I am fascinated by history, geography, maps and more such stuff. Also like to dabble in poetry and writing. I am quite interested in and spend a significant amount of time in browsing the internet for new information, especially related to tech stuff, current affairs, history, trivia etc. I have a keen interest in games & sports such as Chess, Cricket, Football, PC gaming, and more, and like hitting the gym. I like cooking and appreciate good food. And last but not least, I cherish a good night's sleep.
