This year is my 31st year to teach.  I attended Mississippi State University where I graduated with honors and was inducted into the MSU Hall of Fame and was named Graduate Woman of the Year.  I also teach flute lessons at Cole Band in Northport and perform at various parties, weddings, and churches throughout the year.  In addition, I am a 5th Degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo and teach classes on Wednesdays in Northport.

I am a past Chairman of District V Alabama Bandmasters Association and have served on the Board of Directors.  I am a member of NEA, AEA, PEA, NAfME, AMEA, ABA, and SAI.

I have two children - Sean and Kayla who both graduated from Gordo High School with honors.  Sean is married to Alisa and they live in Franklin, TN. Alisa is a registered nurse at the Brentwood Surgical Center and Sean has a degree in Music Education from the University of Alabama and is part owner and manager of the Franklin Tiger Rock Martial Arts Academy. 

Kayla is a graduate of the University of Alabama where she majored in International Relations with a minor in Italian.  Kayla currently teaches history at Gordo High School and serves as my assistant band director. She and I are members of Zion Primitive Baptist Church.
