  Experience

My name is Johnny Cannon, and this is my first year of teaching. I am very excited to see what the future of this program brings. Before I came to Gordo, I had over 150 hours of observation and teaching in schools throughout my degree program at Troy University. I did my internship at Hueytown High School and Hueytown Middle School under directors Ryan Lovell, Donna Smith, and Andrew Poe. There, I gained lots of valuable experience about teaching and how to be a successful director. I am now the band director here at Gordo High School, and I can't wait to see what the future of this program holds.
