Course Description:
This course is designed to train you in welding carbon steel plates components as specified by layout, blueprints, diagrams, work order, welding procedure, or oral instructions using SMAW welding equipment.
It covers the basic, common, and core competencies.
This course is also designated to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) in accordance with industry standards. It covers core competencies such as setting up welding equipment, preparing weld materials, fitting up weld materials, welding carbon steel plates using SMAW, and repairing welds.
