You can pick up your drone for the club M-F 8-1
Pick up your drones and get comfortable with using Drone Blocks.
Film your best flight at home. Program your drone to pass through multiple rooms and return the take off location. Take a screen shot of your code to share.
Incorporate loop blocks in your code to simplify!
If you haven't had a chance to pick up your drone last week, you can still do it this week M-F 8-1 at the front desk.
This week we will go over mapping out a simple mission and creating a program in Drone Blocks to fly the course. We will see how loops can be used to simplify our programs.
Continue to work on your first mission at home and share it to the Google Drive folder in Google Classroom.
There is a link to today's meet shared in Google Classroom.
This week we check out everyone's custom flights from home. We also go over the planned course for the egg flip challenge.
You can find the detailed measurements of the stairs for the eggflip on the Google Classroom. You will also find a video of the flight path.
We took the show on the road and up to the second floor. This week everyone got a change to run their flight path while carrying some precious cargo from the second floor down to the first. There was some carnage along the way, but it was all in good fun!
Next week we will start covering how to program our drones with Python. Keep an eye out in Google Classroom for instructions on setting up the Python coding environment on your computers.
We take the training wheels off and jump into Python! We covered how to install the Python and the Easytello library. We also went over how to address the bug with Python's built in Numpy library and the current Windows 10 update.
Next week we will transition to flying our drones from the Raspberry Pi!
