Meets will be held virtually Mondays starting January 22nd @ 3 PM on Google Meets.
What is 3D Printing?
3D printing is the construction of a three-dimensional object from a CAD model or a digital 3D model. There are a number of different 3D printer technologies, but for our intro, we will be using the popular Fusion Deposition Model (FDM). FDM builds up models one material layer at a time to create a 3D model.
Goode students will create Tinkercad accounts and design their very own keychains. Tinkercad is a free, easy-to-use app for 3D design, electronics, and coding. It's used by teachers, kids, hobbyists, and designers to imagine, design, and make anything!
A lithophane is a three-dimensional image that changes according to the intensity of the light striking it. The light areas are very thin, allowing more light to pass through, while the thicker parts appear darker.
