Goals:

• Make Arduino transmit data to Android device
• Processing data on Android device
• Share data with the Unity3D app

Week of Feb. 5

• Recap from last semester, Start to figure out how to make data transmission successful

Week of Feb. 19

• Manipulate accelerations transmitted from Arduino

Week of Feb. 26

• Keep working on manipulating data

Week of Mar. 5

• Start to work on how to make Unity3D receive the data. The plan is to let Android app write data to a text file and Unity3D app read from the same file.

Week of Mar. 12

• keep the work from last week.

Week of Mar. 19

• The old plan didn't work. It's hard to make Unity read the text file continuously.

The new plan to make Unity receive the data from Bluetooth directly

Week of Apr. 2

• After research, there is no tutorial or free tools to make Unity app receive Bluetooth data.

Plan to use Android app to broadcast the data, and Unity app use a Android add-on to receive the broadcast message.

Week of Apr. 9

• Found a really useful tutorial which teaches how to make an Android plugin for unity to use Bluetooth.

Week of Apr. 16

• Keep working on the Android plugin. Had issue with 'multiDex.'
• Update: Solved with customized gradle build file in unity.

Week of Apr. 30

• The tutorial didn't work. Try to follow general tutorials for making Android plugins.
• Update: the other tutorials didn't work either.
• Went back to the broadcast tutorial

Week of May 7

• Finally got everything work. Amazingly, the tutorial for Bluetooth works too. Now, The data can be transferred and received by Unity.
