My name is Olivia and I am a high schooler working on my Gold Award. A Gold Award is highest award you can earn in Girl Scouts. It is a girl led project where you choose an issue you're passionate about, then create and implement an 80 hour service project to help solve your issue. I am very passionate about helping animal shelters, and when researching to start my project, I realized that not many people know how to help them without adopting an animal.

So what can YOU do to help animal shelters? Well, many people think that you have to adopt an animal to help shelters. While that is a good option, there are many other ways if you can't take in a new pet. Through my project, you will learn ways to help shelters and hopefully implement them, improving the lives of many animals.
