Over the course since the original project launch of October 2021, the backend ideas and plans have been modifed for practicality sake and when the concept of new ideas appear for future updates. This section will be giving information on some of the more in-depth details towards my game.
The purpose of Global Strike is to be an enjoyable competitive shooter that aims to allow all platforms of Roblox to have access and enjoy. This game was inspiried by CSGO and Counter Blox. Most people know what CSGO is, but it may be less common knowledge of what Counter Blox is. Counter Blox is a CSGO clone made by RolvE with the goal to mimic CSGO themselves. They did a pretty good job and still maintain a playerbase of about 4000 online at a time at any given time in the day, but it also had a history of ranked games and tournaments, of which the developers of Counter Blox no longer have any support for. My goal with this game is to revive that playerbase with a newer but familliar feel to it. Allowing support for Consoles and mobile, marketplace system, workshop maps/games, a better optimized experience, and more updates. We arent looking to do any Monthly or weekly updates at the moment, however periodically throughout the year, will be tournaments and operations to give players things to do and a reason to play our game. Tournaments will be a launch of limited time in-game items (whether given via just playing the game or by purchasing a pass), and to give competitors a chance of winning prizes.
Whenever the game becomes playable, I know its not in its final form, and not all planned intentions will be released right away. This will be due to funds availible and the playerbase giving input. I do not expect the entire game on official release to be perfect, as an Indie owner and this being my first project, Im working out of my pocket for a lot of it and doing as much as I can :D.
So some of the plans that are being considered will be a workshop system to the liking of Steams workshop. There would be a system to allow users to submit maps, skins, and even gamemodes to the dev team for potentially being added. It will be more common to have something be added to the private server database, rather than being in the main game for maps and gamemodes, however the possibitly would remain for something astounding to make its way into the main game. Skins will have its own channel in the discord for players to submit ideas for it, and the devs or a special team will review them and possibly add them to the game, as a series of cases with only player submitted skins.
As the game gains some traction and playerbase, will come of a need for moderators and staff for the game.
Some things planned for staff will be a moderation system for your normal kicking and banning, but also access to some staff only gamemodes and weaponry. Staff will have the ability to "gift" temporary skins to players in the game for them to use a round, maybe making everyone use a staff-only weapon like an AK-50 as an example, Just letting staff have fun with the community.
The anticheat upon the beta and release will probably not be finished. I plan to have a team directly made for cheating and exploiting moderation, however its most likely going to be something finished later, not because I see it as unimportant, but because I currently lack the resources to put together such a team of developers.
