What is Randonneuring? Randonneuring is non-competitive, long-distance cycling. Randonneuring events are timed, following a set route. Called brevets, events range from 200 kilometers in length to 1,200K. Randonneuring emphasizes self-sufficiency and completing the distance within a specific time limit, with all finishers receiving equal kudus for successfully completing the ride. Riders must pass through identified controls to verify "proof of passage", with the goal of personal accomplishment and endurance rather than racing.Â
