C.O.Y (Change Our Youth) Program-

We work with the YMCA after school program weekly to inspire youth ages from 3rd to 4th grade in STEM, arts, and more. This is a weekly opportunity where members share and excite youth in their passions. Science Experiments, anyone!?

Due to privacy, we unfortunately cannot share any pictures of the youth we have worked with. We have also gone to Title I schools and worked on projects with students there, such as Tavan's robotics program. However, we cannot share photos. The kids are really cute though! Great stuff happening.

YMCA Concessions-

Every weekend, members volunteer for 3 to 5 hours by selling snacks at our local Scottsdale/Paradise Valley YMCA. This money goes towards funding underserved children in Arizona and other communities we aid.

Winter Items Drive-

Students ran drives throughout first semester at local schools, gyms, and community centers! Together we collected over 250 of each item: backpack, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, blanket, beanie, jacket, toothbrush, and toothpaste.

Letters of Encouragement Collection -

Over 300 letters went to local nursing home residents so they could be encouraged during the unprecedented times of COVID-19.

Tutoring -

As classes switched to online in spring 2020, Be the Change provided a helping hand in a Chaparral tutoring initiative.

Navajo COVID Cares Project-

Eight new ambassador positions were created for our most dedicated members to this drive. Countless items were collected (over 3,000!), helping over 200 families on the reservation.
