What is the Girl Scout Gold Award?
The Girl Scout Gold Award is the most prestigious award that Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors can earn. Fulfilling the requirements for the Gold Award starts with completing two Senior or Ambassador Journeys or having earned the Silver Award and completing one Senior or Ambassador Journey. Over 80 hours are required to successfully achieve this award.

After Gabrielle graduates, underclassmen will take over the club. Her guidance counselor, Leslie Rold, and teachers at Chaparral will continue to get students involved in the club as well. Be the Change has created such a large presence on campus that students will not allow the involvement to stop.

Hi! I'm Gabrielle Roman, a high school senior and Ambassador IGM Girl Scout part of AZ Cactus-Pine Council. I have had the privilege to be in Girl Scouts since kindergarten. I have always been deeply committed to serving my community. I have a passion for STEM and the arts. I am a Founder of Be the Change and currently run my club at my high school!
