Gold Tracker ("the App", "we") cares about user privacy. This policy explains how the App collects, uses, and manages data.
1. Information the App Collects
This App does not collect any personal data from users, and has no sign-up system or user account. All data you enter in the App — gold buy/sell transactions (holdings) across each portfolio, gold price history, and target price alert settings — is stored on your device only (using the local Hive database). We have no server that stores user data and cannot access this data. Data is lost if you delete the App from your device.
2. External Services the App Uses
The App fetches real-time gold prices from the following public data sources via anonymous API calls (no personal data is sent): Thai Gold API (api.chnwt.dev) for gold prices in Thailand, gold-api.com as a fallback gold price source when the primary source is unavailable, and Frankfurter API (frankfurter.dev) for USD/THB exchange rates used in fallback price calculations. These API calls are simply requests for public price data; no identifying user information (such as name, email, or location) is sent to these providers.
3. Notifications
The App uses local (on-device) notifications to alert you when a gold price reaches your target. These notifications run entirely on your device; nothing is sent through an external server or any push-notification service.
4. Biometric App Lock (Face ID / Fingerprint)
The Premium feature includes an option to lock the App with Face ID or fingerprint. This authentication is processed entirely by your device's operating system (iOS/Android). The App has no access to, does not store, and never transmits any biometric data off your device. The App only receives a "succeeded or not" result from the operating system.
5. In-App Purchases (Premium)
The App offers a one-time Premium purchase (not a monthly subscription) to unlock additional features, such as multiple gold portfolios, biometric app lock, and other features. All payments are processed directly through Google Play or the App Store. The App and its developer never see or store your credit card or payment information. Purchase status (unlocked or not) is recorded on your device only.
6. Analytics and Advertising
This App has no embedded user-behavior analytics SDK, no ads, and no tracking of any kind.
7. Data Security
Since all data is stored on your device only, data security depends on the security of the device you use (e.g. device passcode, OS-level encryption). We recommend setting a screen lock on your device, or additionally enabling the biometric app lock feature (see section 4).
8. Children's Data
This App is not designed for or directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect data from this user group.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page along with the latest update date.
