What is Gogreen Recycling?

Gogreen Recycling is a platform to encourage community-based recycling innovations and programs. The forum offers ongoing information about new recycling practices and ideas. It connects individuals and groups committed to recycling to new and developing opportunities and options.

My Role in the GoGreen Recycling Project:

My main role isn't about financial trades of materials but rather the manager of those who want to participate. After starting Gogreen recycling, the first stage was using google forms to reach each neighbor who wants to call a car to pick up their recyclable materials each month. I then deal with the recycling facility to see the amount of materials collected and collect data for further analytics. Gogreen recycling isn't my only project in sustainability, I also do projects in my neighborhood to give away their old furniture for reusing purposes to those in need. Rates are from the recycling facility which fluctuates through time and by objects. I have no control of the price whatsoever. There is only a small fee of 2 baht for each residence as a transportation fee from the facility.

 How it started

It all started when I was 9, I was organizing a community event which I chose with my other friends to do a marketplace in our neighborhood's common space. At that time, we were selling desserts like cookies and I also reused plastic bottles to make piggy banks and other crafts as giveaway products for many of the younger children in my neighborhood. There were many more events after that such as a bat festival followed by trick or treating for Halloween and playground city which I wanted to make our playground a better place with interesting workshops. Additionally, I also provided paper, books, and school supplies to local charity organizations that needed them.

Since then, I have known that I love being a part of and giving back to the community. I want everyone, even those with particular circumstances, to be happy and be a part of my journey by expanding the word of sustainability worldwide.
