This page is dedicated to my progress and updates through my projects, including recent pictures, descriptions, and progress towards my main goal. I was only able to photograph some portions for the update because of school, while some were photographed during the weekend, school holidays, or summer break. Major updates are every 3 months showing changes in the operating system and process. Rates of residences collected fluctuates according to the recyclabe materials each household provided.
20 pickups
Additional transportation starting next month
25 pickups
expansion to another neighborhood
A plan is coming soon for more transportation to handle the increasing number of pickups.
21 pickups were conducted this month, a new all-time high. Thank you for expanding my Gogreen Recycling project. It was an achievement by all the neighbors who helped make the project come true and solve the problem of climate change. The total number of recyclable materials continues to increase, and in the future, I hope that it could also be done in other neighborhoods. The current system is doing great at this level, but as time progresses, I would love to make Gogreen recycling into an application for it easier for people from different neighborhoods to request a pickup and for the system to be spread with other 3rd party recycling facilities around Thailand.
There is a total of 19 pickups this month, which is an all-time high because of the expansion to another neighborhood. We would need to continue analyzing the patterns to see when we need additional crew and transportation, which at this point would be when the number reaches 22, considering the average materials gathered from each resident. Even with a higher number of participants and area the digital forms system works and we would still continue to use it because of the many benefits such as contactless payment. Pictures down below show the recent pickup.
The pickup totaled 11 residences. Though I wasn't present, there were no problems at all with the process. All the forms and chat were working, which led to a successful pickup. There are plans for the project to be expanded because of enough capability and demand to another phase of my neighborhood, which was in another management board. Soon, the Gogreen recycling project might work with the different phase and later expand to other neighborhoods in nearby areas.
11 residences participated during the October pickup. I wasn't able to observe the process, but I received positive feedback from the Google Forms I created. Most of the recyclable materials are now more organized in their categories which there were not any problems in this pickup.
There is a total of 13 residences who participated during this month in my neighborhood. I was able to investigate though the process which everything went into action. It was great that pickup dates are roughly every month which is great for enough materials to be recycled and causing the mode of trasportation more sustainable. The system is still in cash and internet banking with google forms used for calling to pickup. Though this method might not work forever but it is still a great way to encourage recycling.
The pick up totalled to 9 residences. I wasn't able to supervise but the process still went well according to the comments given. Digitally, my google forms system still works without any crashes in the system. After a few months of using google forms I realized that it is a great system to organize the pickup rather than a public group chat which sometimes become unread.
There were a total of 16 residences that participated this month, which is one of the highest numbers since starting the project. I went and check through the process which seems like the project is going really well. Since starting the project I am certain that atleast 100 kg of reclycabe materials is recycled which can start an impact on sustainability.
The pick up totals to 12 residences this month. The current limitation using google forms might be that users must submit their request a day before. For exmaple, during this pickup there was a household who forgot to submit their form but still wanted to participate. They were still welcomed to use the service but it was just harder to track. For any late forms I now encourage residences to use "Line" a message app to request a pickup. The system used was still cash and internet banking but it should around this solution because it was hard to be able to generate other prices starting from a small circle of users.
There is a total of 10 residences who participated on the pick up this month. I wasn't there to supervise but it seems like it went well according to the recycling facility. I had choose a recycling facility which is close to the neighborhood to have the least impact towards the environment and for it to be convenient to transport.
14 residences participated during this month. Personally, the increase of residences might be because of Songkran which is the Thai new years. That was also why the pick up was a little delayed. Though I wasn't able to see through the process the higher number this month was totally fine and my goal is still to increase it to most rersidences in the neighborhood and expand it outside.
8 residences participated in the pick up this month. Which I can see that March might not be a month that has the most people but with this current situation with only one representative from the recycling facility it was easy to facilitate through. The system is facilitated though cash and internet banking which helps if Covid 19 situations increase. To call for pick up residences would use the "Line" application, but I think it should to google forms instead for more convenience.
11 residences participated this month. I wasn't able to observe through the process, but it seems ike after a few months of pick up the system was familiar to residences.
13 residences participated this month which might be due to the new years. The only concern might be in the future have a larger amount of users and being able to do the process in a timely manner.
