Initial Interview Phase (21st May 2017)
The BTG Interviews began with its first set of recorded conversations featuring high-profile actors such as Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, David Harewood, John Wesley Shipp, Rick Cosnett, and Ray Fisher. These early interviews, filmed at a major UK comic convention, laid the foundation for what would become an evolving platform dedicated to spotlighting talent across the entertainment industry.
Testing Phase (2017–2018)
During this formative period, the series developed its identity and approach. Behind the scenes, extensive outreach was made to agents and actors, aiming to secure the first official filmed interviews. This phase allowed the series to refine its format, tone, and structure ahead of a broader launch.
Comic Con Phase (Oct 2018–Oct 2019)
With a firm structure in place, the series expanded across the UK’s comic convention circuit. Interviews were conducted with a wide range of actors, performers, and creatives, capturing their stories and insights in a lively and fan-focused environment.
Independent Phase (2020–2022)
As the industry faced new challenges, The BTG Interviews evolved to highlight rising talent. The series began working closely with unknown and upcoming actors, offering them a platform to promote their work. This phase included the addition of professional headshots, CV support, and career-focused content to help emerging performers gain traction in the competitive entertainment landscape.
Theatre Focus Phase (2023–Present)
In 2023 the series shifted its lens to the world of theatre. Spotlighting stage performers, this phase includes in-depth interviews, professional character photography, and show trailers. The goal is to support and amplify the visibility of theatre artists while continuing to expand the creative reach of the series.
New Era (2025– )
Following the launch of Gobey Productions in 2024, the series took a brief pause before making a successful return in September 2025. The comeback was marked by a live interview with Hollywood stuntman Rick English, presented in collaboration with the Cheltenham International Film Festival and hosted at the Cheltenham Playhouse.
Looking ahead, the series promises an exciting slate of live events, featuring some of the biggest and best stars in the industry.
