Gobey Productions, founded in 2024, was built on the foundation of the BTG Interviews, a long-running series dedicated to in-depth conversations with talent from across the entertainment industry. Since 2018, the series has recorded over 130 interviews exploring the craft and careers of actors and other creatives. The very first interview featured actor Richard Ashton, while the most frequent guests included the late Michael Jayston, Jonathan Hansler, and Mark Farrelly.

The company’s debut short film, The Passerby, premiered at the Cheltenham International Film Festival in 2024, where it was praised for its powerful depiction of male domestic abuse and mental health struggles. In April 2025, the film received a charity screening at the Karma Sanctum Hotel in Soho, London. During the event, Ben was interviewed by Ron Fogelman alongside Mark Brooks, founder of the Mankind Initiative, a leading charity supporting male victims of domestic abuse. A portion of the ticket sales was donated to Mind. The film was released to the public on 21 May 2025 via Vimeo.

The company’s second short film, Fagin’s Rant, was first screened on 12 December 2025 at the Karma Sanctum Hotel in Soho, London. Following the screening, Benjamin was once again interviewed by Ron Fogelman, this time alongside lead actor Richard Ashton, who portrays the sinister Fagin in the film. During the Q&A, they discussed the origins of the project and explored their respective careers in greater depth.

The company is also in pre-production on Mr. Sherlock Holmes, a short film based on the opening chapter of A Study in Scarlet and officially endorsed by the Conan Doyle Estate. The project marks the beginning of a faithful new screen interpretation of Sherlock Holmes. An official teaser, featuring Daniel Jagusz-Holley in the title role, was filmed on the grounds of Cirencester Abbey in October 2025. The company launched a crowdfunder in November 2025 with a target of £20,000 to finance the production of the film.
