Valued, Seen, and Challenged
We want our bowlers to feel valued, seen, and challenged.Â
Valued. We want our bowlers to feel valued. One of the things we've looked for in host centers is enthusiasm and commitment to our mission and our bowlers. We don't want them feeling like they are set up in a corner and are an afterthought to an adult league or birthday parties. Celebrating our bowlers and their achievements on our social media is another way to show we are invested beyond the day of competition. The runner-up and handicap scholarships at our Junior Gold qualifiers are an effort to reward personally strong performances that come up just short of the "big prize."
Seen. We want our bowlers to feel seen. By running girls-only, age-division-driven events, we are providing a version of that Junior Gold Championships feel of bowling in a center full of your peers. With girl bowlers coming together from multiple states, GOAL events provide an opportunity to build new connections and friendships.
Challenged. We want our bowlers to feel challenged. The Junior Gold Championships are hard. They use difficult sport patterns that aren't released until after the tournament ends. We are committed to using difficult sport patterns at our events and releasing them only a few days prior to each tournament. When you go on to compete in Junior Gold, we want you to be prepared instead of overwhelmed.
