How to apply

Prospective graduate students are required to follow the official admission procedures of Gyeongsang National University.

1. Preliminary Contact
   Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact a prospective advisor in advance to discuss research interests and availability.
   
   

2. Online Application
   Applications must be submitted through the official online application system during the designated application period.
   
   

3. Document Submission
   Required documents, including academic transcripts, degree certificates, a study and research plan, and language proficiency certificates, must be submitted by the specified deadline.
   
   

4. Departmental Review
   Applications are reviewed by the department based on academic background, research potential, submitted documents, and advisor recommendations.
   
   

5. Admission Decision and Enrollment
   Admission results are announced via the graduate school website and email. Admitted students must complete enrollment and registration within the designated period.

International students interested in applying through the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) are advised to follow the procedure outlined below.

1. Identify the Application Track
   Applicants should confirm whether they are applying through the Embassy Track or the University Track, as procedures and timelines may differ.
   
   

2. Prepare Application Documents
   Required documents typically include academic transcripts, degree certificates, a study plan, a research proposal, recommendation letters, and language proficiency certificates.
   
   

3. Submit GKS Application
   Applications are submitted either to the Korean embassy in the applicant’s home country or directly to the designated university, depending on the selected track.
   
   

4. Evaluation and Nomination
   Applications undergo multi-stage evaluations, including document screening and interviews. Successful candidates are nominated to the National Institute for International Education (NIIED).
   
   

5. Final Selection and University Placement
   Final admission decisions are made after confirmation by NIIED and the host university. Selected scholars complete enrollment and visa procedures accordingly.
