How to contact your counselor:

  • Call the school 856-1900. Even if school is closed, voicemail is available and will be sent to the counselor's email.

  • Send an email. See below for each counselor's email.

  • If EMERGENCY... please call 9-1-1 or Child Priority Response

Mrs. Gates is the new School Counseling Office Secretary. Her office hours from 8:00am-4:00pm. Mrs. Gates is in charge of registration and busing for all students. She may be reached at 302-856-1900 or Michelle.Gates@irsd.k12.de.us

Mrs. Davis is back for another great school year. As a school counselor Mrs. Davis's role is to provide academic strategies, ways to manage emotions and apply interpersonal skills, plan for postsecondary plans (college, work force, military). Mrs. Levis is a great resource in the school counseling department. She provides strategies to assist students in coping with emotional and behavioral challenges. As well as assisting with connecting families to outside community resources.


Ms. Jessica Macleod-School-Based Behavioral Health Consultant from Children and Families First (bilingual)-

Ms. Macleod provides support to students and families through crisis and mental health assessments and referrals. She meets with students individually as well as running small groups for students.
