Glynis Raisch is an artist, graphic designer, art teacher, wife, and mother of 2. She loves red wine, sewing, getting her hands dirty in the garden, and long walks on the beach. She’s not so fond of politics, heavy metal music, or getting her haircut. One day she hopes to learn how to sail a boat.
She wears many hats, including her main role as an Art Teacher for grades Kindergarten through Eighth. In this highly fluctuating arena of education during this crazy time of COVID, Glynis has learned to be agile and sensitive to her student's needs and circumstances. She has created over 8 years of Elementary Art curriculum and creative projects for her classes.
Glynis is also an experienced Freelance Graphic Designer with a demonstrated history of working in the graphic design industry. She started out working in the User Interface arena then pivoted to Freelance Graphic Design to be more flexible while raising her young children, later entering education to further her creative endeavors. Glynis has experience creating a wide range of graphics for both print and digital projects including logo designs, brochures and signage, trade show collateral, t-shirt screen printing, athletic apparel sublimation printing, and social media imagery.
Glynis’ playful artwork draws inspiration from her two teenage children and her experiences as an elementary school art teacher. Her vibrant, often primary color palette and cherub-like faces evoke childhood dreams and fantasy stories. She prefers to work on many projects at once and often switches between mediums. Most recently she has been working in paper maché.
