How does booking look from beginning to end?

First step: Send a request

Send a booking request! For flash, please specify with a screenshot of the design. For custom requests, please elaborate as much as you need for what you are looking for! Inspiration pictures are a must and Pinterest boards go above and beyond! 

Second step: Confirming appointment date & details for custom booking

I will reach out to you in a couple of days to confirm a tattoo session date - I require a $100 deposit through Venmo, Zelle, or Paypal to secure the date. If you are booking a custom, we require around a week prior to our tattoo session either an in-person or virtual consultation, whichever you'd prefer. (I always prefer in-person if you can so I can draw directly on your body!) During the consultation, we will work on some thumbnails and sketches together! Finished custom designs will be presented the day of our appointment. I allot around an hour in the beginning of our session to discuss any last changes and tweaks to the design. Third step: Prepping for our appointment

Some skin preparation guidelines to follow for 7 days prior to your appointment date:

> Thoroughly moisturize the area to be tattooed.

> Gently exfoliate the area to be tattooed, not so much as to damage the skin.

> Please avoid overexposing your skin to the sun.

> Eat well and drink plenty of water.

> Please do not drink any alcoholic beverages the day before or the day of your appointment.

> Upon arrival for your appointment, please make sure you have already eaten a good meal.

Payment for our session is technically cash only, though digital forms of payment work in a pinch - just let me know in advance! Please make sure to bring an adequate amount prior to our appointment (bring the amount that is your listed budget or you can confirm with me the approximate amount through email.)

Fourth step: The day of our appointment

I tattoo at Magnetic Arts in Berkeley, CA (2110 Ashby Ave, Berkeley, CA 94705) If you are taking the BART, the closest station is Ashby - if you are driving, parking on the street directly in front of the shop along Ashby Avenue is available until 4 PM (available all day Sundays) and neighborhood parking around the area is mostly 2 hour parking - there is a section on Shattuck Avenue directly next to the intersection that does not have any parking restriction signs that you can park the whole day on. If you need to move your car during our session, it is no problem. (-: 

Need to reschedule or cancel? Please email me as soon as you know that you need to! I want you to be ready and healthy for the tattoo session, and if you feel like you are not, tell me frankly and I will completely understand - I can reschedule you once without revoking your deposit from the total. 

We require masks inside the shop! We provide masks for our clients. Please bring water and snacks if we are anticipating a longer session or if you need more snack and water breaks in general. Your comfort is most important and I will always go at your pace!
