Hi! My name is Minh (I also go by Eli) — I am a Vietnamese-American East Bay artist in Berkeley, CA with a focus on animals, plants, and anything living. I love designing portraits of pets/animals, people, and botanical subjects all in my own bright, illustrative, and emotive style! Capturing all ranges of emotion has, and will always be, my main goal in my artwork. 

When I am not tattooing or busy drawing up flash or design requests, I am probably either out and about on a solo day trip, climbing or running, reading, crocheting, life drawing, or with my loved ones. I'm also currently back in school for astrophysics and hope to incorporate what I learn into my artwork. This is my open secret: I'm always learning and trying to breathe life into my daily routine!

My favorite movies/series are Arcane, Anatomy of a Fall, and Legally Blonde. My favorite books are Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo, We Are All Stardust by Stefan Klein, and Time Travel in Einstein's Universe by J. Richard Gott. My favorites are always rotating!

I graduated in 2020 with a BFA in Animation at CSULB; I draw much of my expertise and style from my illustration skills as I, once upon a time, trained to be a story artist — though I feel like I'm slowly creeping back into it!

Being inclusive and providing a safe space will always be on the forefront of my practice! As a trans person, this especially is important to me.
