Sales Distribution Analysis

Hello and welcome, my name is Agunwa Glory and today I will be presenting to you the results of the Sales Distribution analysis task.

Business Case

1. Show two filters- Region and Month Name. These filters should have only relevant values.

2. The dashboard should have the title “Sales Distribution Dashboard”

3. We want to see the following KPIs: Total Sales and Top 3 Customers

4. Create Charts showing the following: • Monthly Sales (Target vs Actual) • Region-wise Sales • Top 10 Products • Country-wise Sales • Weekly Sales

5. Create a Dashboard.

Process

Step 1: Data source connection First, get the Sales Distribution dataset to Excel Power Query.

I created a new table on power query editor for the Actual and Target Sales Two conditional columns were added to indicate if sales were below or above target.

Step 2: Create the first chart using pivot table in Excel Now go to a new sheet and start creating the first chart as explained in the #4 point of business requirement. Here I used “Product” and “Sum of Actual” on pivot table to accomplish this. Once done, make a little decoration and you should get something like below

Step 3: Create the second chart using pivot table in Excel For the second chart, here I used “Month” and “Sum of Actual” to accomplish this. Once done, make a little decoration and you should get something like below

Step 4: Create the third chart using pivot table in Excel For the third chart, here I used “Week” and “Sum of Actual” to accomplish this. Once done, make a little decoration and you should get something like below

Step 5: Create the fourth chart using pivot table in Excel For the fourth chart, here I used “Region” and “Sum of Actual” to accomplish this. Once done, make a little decoration and you should get something like below From the doughnut chart below, you can see that the region with the top sales is “Export” and the region with the least sales are “North and South” regions.

Step 6: Create the fifth chart using pivot table in Excel For the fifth chart, here I used “Country” and “Sum of Actual” to accomplish this. Once done, make a little decoration and you should get something like below

Step 8: The filters in line with business requirement #1 can be seen below;

And finally, the interactive Dashboard Now we’ve come to the last section of this excel project. Here we need to simply arrange the charts and provide proper formatting along with the border. Also, enable the dashboard title as shared in the requirements
