If I don't understand the language the video is in, can I translate it?
For Watching Live
There are a number of programs that would help but probably the easiest way to go is to use Live Tranlate in Google Chrome. In order to activate Live Translate, you must first activate Live Caption:

On your computer, open Chrome .
At the top right, select More > Settings. (or on a Mac, Chrome > Settings)
At the bottom of the Settings page, select Accessibility.
Turn on Live Caption.

While in the Accessibility settings, turn on Live Translate and then choose a language you want videos to be translated to.
OR
Auto Translate YouTube Videos (This will work for videos that are not happening live)
Click on the cc icon at the bottom of the video. This will start closed captions.
Click on the gear (settings) next to CC. Choose subtitles > Auto Translate and then pick the language you want the video to be translated to.
