TERMS & CONDITIONS
By submitting the application form, I confirm that I have read and understood the following terms and conditions. I agree to participate in the ultrasound course and any associated activities at my own risk. I agree to indemnify the organisers (hereafter referred to as the Course Organisers) against any claims for loss, damage, injury (including death), or other liability arising from my own actions or circumstances beyond the organisers' control.
Your participation in the course is confirmed once you receive written confirmation from the Course Organisers. By registering, you:
- Confirm that you are a healthcare professional or trainee eligible to participate in this course.
- Agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
This is a practical, hands-on training. As part of the course:
- You will work with real patients under supervision.
- You are responsible for adhering to standard clinical precautions, including but not limited to:
- Infection prevention and control measures (e.g. hand hygiene, glove use, appropriate clinical attire).
- Respiratory protection (e.g. face masks or respirators) when indicated by local guidelines, patient presentation, or course staff.
- Maintaining your own up-to-date vaccinations and personal health precautions appropriate to the setting.
Additionally:
- You agree to follow the instructions of course facilitators and to maintain professional behavior throughout.
- You consent to the use of any photographs or video footage taken during the course (unless you request otherwise beforehand) for educational or promotional purposes.
The Course Organisers reserve the right to end your participation in the event of unprofessional or disruptive behavior.
As part of this course, you will have direct contact with real patients. You are required to maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times. This includes:
- Not sharing any identifiable patient information (names, diagnoses, images, etc.) outside the course setting.
- Not taking photographs or videos of patients unless explicitly authorized by course staff and with informed consent from the patient.
- Respecting the privacy and dignity of every patient during all clinical interactions.
Breach of patient confidentiality is grounds for immediate dismissal from the course and may have legal consequences.
If the course includes accommodation, it will generally be shared unless otherwise specified. If you are attending alone, you will be paired with a participant of the same gender unless other arrangements are made in advance.
You are responsible for arranging your own travel, health, and personal insurance. The Course Organisers are not liable for:
- Theft or loss of personal belongings.
- Medical costs or travel delays.
- Any consequences of inadequate health precautions (e.g. infections, exposure to communicable diseases).
While every effort will be made to deliver the program as planned, the organisers reserve the right to make adjustments to the course content, schedule, or location if necessary. Any changes will be communicated as early as possible.
The organisers accept no responsibility for:
- Loss or damage to personal property.
- Injuries sustained during course activities unless caused by proven negligence.
- Any clinical decisions you make after attending the course.
This agreement is governed by Dutch law. Any legal disputes related to the course will fall under the jurisdiction of Dutch courts.
By submitting your application or confirming your registration, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions in full. You agree to comply with the authority of the course faculty throughout the training.
