Ask your organization to add their voice to calls for ceasefire, and then to take further action

We recognize that part of what makes the crisis in Gaza possible is the normalization of silence around Palestine. Every single time an organization releases a statement  - even if it’s an internal email - it helps dramatically with the narrative shift necessary to move from a culture of silence to solidarity.

Every. Single.Time.

Each instance builds our movement. That’s one of the ways we play a critical role in engaging with our organizations. Our organizations play a critical role in making up the ecosystem.

It's past time for the humanitarian assistance and global development sectors to step up, push back against aid-washing, and move beyond statements to true solidarity. 

In addition to asking policy makers and government officials to make changes, we're also organizing in our workspaces - calling for the same types of policy changes we saw organizations make after #metoo movement, in support of racial justice, or even policy changes organizations have made to address climate change. 

We know that we all have power to take some action - and our organizations do not have to simply wait for others to act.
