Yarntastic Privacy Choices

This page explains the privacy controls available in the Yarntastic iOS app and how to exercise your privacy rights.

Your Choices in the App

Profile information

Entering a profile name, tagline, email address, location or profile photograph is optional. You can use Yarntastic’s main browsing and shopping features without completing these profile fields.

You can edit or remove your profile information from the Settings page.

Profile photograph

Selecting a profile photograph is optional. Yarntastic uses Apple’s system photo picker so that you can choose a photograph.

The app does not scan your complete photo library or upload unrelated photographs. You can change or remove the selected photograph from Edit Profile.

iCloud backup

You can choose whether Yarntastic stores a private backup snapshot in your Apple iCloud account.

The snapshot may include:

• Profile information and profile photograph

• Basket and wishlist selections

• Saved colour palettes

• Yarn-stash information

• Activity history

• App preferences

Turning off iCloud backup prevents future backup updates but may not delete an existing snapshot. To remove the existing snapshot, use Delete My App Data in Settings.

Delete My App Data

To delete supported Yarntastic app data:

1. Open Yarntastic.

2. Select Settings.

3. Tap Delete My App Data.

4. Confirm the deletion.

This deletes supported profile and planning information stored locally and requests deletion of the Yarntastic iCloud backup snapshot.

Deletion cannot be undone. The action does not delete Shopify orders, payment records, delivery information or a Shopify customer account.

Basket, wishlist, palettes and yarn stash

You can edit or remove individual basket items, wishlist items, palettes and yarn-stash entries using their controls inside the app. You can remove all supported native app information using Delete My App Data.

Advertising and Tracking

Yarntastic does not use behavioural advertising and is not designed to track your activity across other companies’ apps or websites.

We do not sell personal information handled through the native app.

Shopify and Online-Shop Information

When you visit the Yarntastic online shop or continue to Shopify checkout, information such as your order, delivery address and payment information is handled by the Yarntastic shop, Shopify and applicable payment or delivery providers.

Deleting native app data does not delete Shopify customer accounts, orders or records that must be retained for legal, tax, fraud-prevention or contractual purposes.

Exercise Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Request access to personal information

• Request correction of inaccurate information

• Request deletion where applicable

• Request a copy of certain information

• Withdraw consent

• Object to or restrict certain processing

• Make a complaint to a data-protection authority

• Your request

• The country in which you live

• Enough information for us to identify the relevant interaction

Do not include passwords or complete payment-card information. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
