UN MONDE EN PRIÈRE ACTUALITÉS
Relier HCFM à la famille mondiale de la Sainte-Croix
Dear Friends in Christ,
From July 28th to August 3rd of this year, the Church celebrated the Jubilee of Young People. Nearly a million Catholics gathered in Rome to celebrate young people, their faith, and their invaluable contributions to the Church. Pilgrims came from around the world to share fellowship, to pray together, to worship, and to receive encouragement from the Holy Father.
Young people are beset by many challenges today. They have been caught up in the crises of our times just as much as – if not more – than the rest of us. Young people are troubled about the state of our world; they are caught up in global conflicts, fearful about the fate of our planet, and subject to the loneliness and anxiety that are so commonplace today. They are worried about their future, which at times might seem uncertain and bleak.
More than ever, young people need faith, an encounter with the Risen Lord who is the conqueror of sin, death, fear, and every injustice. The Lord has a special heart for young people, and he waits to embrace them and walk alongside them on the journey of life. The world is beset with challenges and our youth are filled with many anxieties, but through all of this, we hear the quiet but strong voice of Jesus: “Take courage; I have conquered the world” (John 16:33) All that is left is for young people everywhere to embrace this reality and cooperate with the Lord in transforming the world into the Kingdom of God.
In this edition of the World at Prayer Newsletter, we see that Jesus is very much at work in the lives of young people, bringing hope to them and working alongside them to prepare the world for better times. Moreover, we see the power that prayer and family have in the lives of youth. I pray that these stories will give you hope that there is indeed a bright and glorious future ahead. And to young people everywhere: you are the future of the Church! Strive for holiness and walk with the Lord, and you will change the world.
In Christ,
Rev. Fred Jenga, C.S.C. Ph.D.
Dear Friends,
With great joy and gratitude, we share this edition of our global newsletter: Pilgrims of Hope for Youth.
This theme is close to our hearts, for it is the young who carry the promise of tomorrow and the vitality of the Church today.
To our young people, I say: You are not only the future of the Church, you are its present. Your prayers, your dreams, and your faith-filled energy are lighting the path forward for families and communities around the world. You remind us that hope is alive, and that love, when lived in faith, has no borders.
To our dedicated teams and collaborators: thank you for walking beside our youth, encouraging them to pray, to serve, and to lead. Through your guidance, they are growing as true Pilgrims of Hope, ready to build a world rooted in faith and peace.
As we prepare for the Global Rosary for Peace on Wednesday, October 22, the Feast of Saint John Paul II, we invite each of you, especially our youth, to join this worldwide moment of unity.
At 10 a.m. Eastern Time, families from every continent will gather online to pray one Rosary, in many languages, as one family in Christ. Let this be our shared act of faith and hope as a living witness that prayer unites hearts and brings peace to our world.
Together, let us continue to journey as one global family, trusting in the promise that when families, and especially young people, pray together, peace becomes possible.
May God bless you all and may He bless every young heart that dares to hope, pray, and lead with love.
With gratitude and prayers,
Rev. Pinto Paul, C.S.C., Ph.D.
“To pray the Rosary is to hand over our burdens to the merciful hearts of Christ and his Mother,” St. John Paul II
With the 2025 Jubilee Year Theme of "Pilgrims of Hope", and inspired by new scientific insights on the power of prayer, the Congregation of Holy Cross and Holy Cross Family Ministries, on the Memorial of St. John Paul II, invite everyone to join the Rosary Rally for Peace on October 22, 2025. Visit Holy Cross Family Ministries – Pray for Peace. Share this invitation with your family and friends! Together let us lift our hearts and minds in prayer asking for the Blessed Mother's intercession to bring peace to our hearts, families, communities, countries - and world.
Each decade of the Rosary will feature generations of the faithful from each continent praying the Rosary. It promises to be a powerful event. There is a place to drop a pin on a global map to show your pledge to pray with us on that day.
This global call to prayer echoes the recent appeal of Pope Leo XIV, who urged Catholics to pray the rosary daily throughout October as reported in Vatican News.
Congrats to all the winners! Thank you for participating in these contests. A special thank you to all the Ministry Centers that made this activity available to our young world.

This year we launched our first video contest for high-school and college-age students. The creativity was outstanding, and we’re delighted to share the results! These young people were charged with creating an action-packed film that demonstrated families happy, healthy, and Holy by the power of prayer. All seven submissions were outstanding in portraying the realities of the universal struggles of families globally. Videos could be up to 20 minutes and required significant planning, execution, editing, and directing.

Last summer, Mission Advancement held a few "Sneak Peek" Open Houses of the nearly completed reimagined Father Peyton Center. Many local ministry friends and supporters attended, during which we toured the grounds, prayed the Rosary, and heard presentations by Father Willy Raymond, C.S.C., and Father Fred Jenga, C.S.C., on the future of the mission in Easton, as well as an update on the Cause of Venerable Patrick Peyton by Father David Marcham, Vice-Postulator.
Below are updated photos of the nearly completed renovations.

Father Peyton brought hope to youth from the very beginning of his ministry.
In 1944 Venerable Patrick Peyton urged people to pray the daily Family Rosary. He explained that:
“All men and women and children have one end in common, no matter whether you belong to the ranks cardinals or popes or whether you are the youngest child just baptized, for all there is just one end – and that is to know, to love and to serve God here on earth and by that service to merit the eternal friendship of God in Heaven. By that service to win an eternity of happiness in Heaven.”
Catholic Mom provides inspiring content for women in the trenches of raising children in the Catholic Faith. Each day, moms, grandmothers, aunts, and teachers can find content to help them engage children and youth in matters of faith and daily habits that cultivate virtue.
Millions of people around the world live with Down Syndrome, and these individuals possess rare and special gifts—often beyond our acknowledgment or comprehension.
This Christopher Award-winning series shares the stories of two young adults living with Down Syndrome and the challenges, triumphs, and unique abilities they bring to life.
Under a crystal-clear blue sky on Sunday, September 7, 2025, the people of God gathered at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, to pray for peace in our families and in the world.
This year marked the 75th anniversary of Venerable Patrick Peyton’s Rosary Rally at Our Lady’s University. It was most fitting that Family Rosary USA, the Congregation of Holy Cross, and the University of Notre Dame united once again to continue his mission of promoting family prayer, especially the Rosary.
Noteworthy comments from around the world reflect our mission to inspire, promote, and foster the prayer life and spiritual well-being of families throughout the world. We help families pray.
"A World at Prayer is a World at Peace."
~ Venerable Patrick Peyton
Dear Jesus,
Father Peyton devoted his priestly life to strengthening the families of the world by calling them to pray together every day, especially the Rosary. His message is as important for us now as it was during his life on earth.
We beg you, therefore, to hasten the day of his beatification, so that Your faithful people everywhere will remember his message that The Family That Prays Together Stays Together, will imitate him in his devotion to Your Mother and ours, and will be inspired by His holy life to draw ever closer to You with childlike confidence and love. Amen.
“The Rosary is the most beautiful and the most rich in graces of all prayers; it is the prayer that touches most the Heart of the Mother of God.”
Venerable Patrick Peyton
