Why you should study:
You’re provided an hour or more of English instruction and conversation each week
You’re matched with a compatible conversational buddy for additional practice
You’ll have opportunities to socialize among students and volunteers from around the world
Conversational language buddies and live language instruction are services often restricted by cost. Also, conversational buddies can be awkward if one has nothing in common with the buddy with whom they are paired. Our program aims to address each of these issues by providing all of our services free of charge and by matching compatible students and conversational buddies, allowing language study to transform into real connections and friendships.
If you are:
Ages 14-25 and attend secondary school, high school, or university
An English learner with A2+ language proficiency
Interested in exploring different cultures
You are the student of our dreams!
Having knowledge of English is a basic requirement for any international dialogue, and cultural knowledge is advantageous in all areas of life. GLI will provide a platform where you will be able, through conversational practice, to improve your English skills and teach others about the beauty of your own culture.
